Born in Lucania, BweB is among the first Italian production companies for the number of documentaries made.
“Piccola Grande Italia” is the program that allowed BweB to grow.
It is a weekly appointment with the traditions, art, culture and crafts of small Italian towns. Each season weaves a journey through the lesser-known tourist destinations of our country.
But BweB does not only make documentaries from the most remote corners of the Peninsula, starting from 2017 it has embarked on the path of film production and television formats for the international market.
Among the most important productions, it is necessary to remember the film “Sacra Linfa” – co-produced with the contribution of the Basilicata Region and the collaboration of the Lucana Film Commission – and the documentary “Nelle Terre di Federico II”, a journey through the Basilicata of the Swabian emperor.
The BweB productions were received with interest by the international public on the occasion of the presentation at MipDoc and MIPTV, two major events dedicated to sector specialists in which BweB participated in 2018 and 2019, the two years that preceded the start of the pandemic.
BweB’s productions have obtained important awards on the occasion of participation in important national and international events including Cartoons on the Bay (2006), Turismo Verde Laghi (Rome), Cannes MIP DOC (2011), Itineraries of Italy ( 2012), Venice Film Festival (2013), YouFarm International (2015), Cannes MIPDOC-MIPTV (2018 and 2019).
If the television broadcast guarantees to reach a wide and diversified audience, “Piccola Grande Italia” – and the other BweB productions – are always available online
